| one. carly's the name, & inconsistency is the game. born & raised in new jersey, but i might as well have been born on the side of a hill (bonus points to whoever guesses that quote). i am 20-years-old (oy!), the only female member of my family (direct & extended), and i'm your typical blonde-haired, blue-eyed cliche. two. i should have been born decades earlier than this one. i live for the swell of a big band's brass section, my movie selection mainly consists of black & white classics, and i oh-so-wish i knew how to pincurl my hair. i would've dated frank sinatra if i had the chance, & i think that katharine hepburn far exceeds audrey in the "who's the greater hepburn?" race. three. one of my greatest assets is that i have the ability to laugh at myself. mercilessly. heartily. openly & gleefully. my philosophy is that there's no use in dwelling on how stupid you may have looked at some point. instead, laugh about it--chances are it makes for a great story later on. four. i love the little things in life. the first snowfall, a hoodie fresh out of the washer, t-shirt sheets, bronte novels, twinkle lights, a british accent, hot tea, & sunday dinners at my grandparents' house. i live for spring showers, good music, interesting literature, and life-changing movies. not too much to ask, right? five. if i were to parallel myself with a fictional character of any type, i would have to say i'm a healthy mix of elizabeth bennet, annie oakley, and bridget jones. i'm feisty, (sorta) fearless, passionate, and somehow always managing to get myself into unreal predicaments. c'est la vie. · i'm a photographer by nature. · a teacher by craft. · & just plain crazy. |
